WHO'S OUT THERE?

Let's see, there's Peter N., Linda, Mark, and my friend Anonymous.
Thanks to their comments, I know they read this blog, along with select friends and family.

(By the way, I know the spelling on this graphic is atrocious. It's all I could find, and it fit the bill.)

On television, we want our work to be seen. And since we get nearly instant ratings reports, we know how many thousands of people saw our work the day before.

But I never know how many, if any, people see this little effort on a regular basis. And I found that mildly frustrating...until I read this interview.

More than 99% of the blogs on the internet get no hits at all. ZERO.

Suddenly, I'm not so frustrated.
As a matter of fact, I'm grateful to you, and to Peter N., Linda, Mark, Anonymous, and those friends and family who log in.

One blog for every 23 people who can access the internet.

Who's out there?
Everyone, I guess.

A lot of blogs may not get comments, but they're read.

I don't get a chance to read your blog everyday, but that makes it much more fun when I do get to read it. Instead of one interesting/funny blog, I get to read 3 or 4! I've also mentioned your blog to my co-workers, so I know some of them read it too. Your blogs are funny, interesting, informative and just plain enjoyable to read. Please keep on writing!

Linda, as always, thank you.

I didn't mean for this post to be a plaintive cry for comments. Otherwise, I'd end each one with, "What do you think," which IS a plaintive cry for comments.

I was just astounded at the number of blogs out there now, and I'm happy I have the NBC30 website as a base for mine. Without it, I'd be just "out there"...somewhere.

And I fully intend to keep writing, because I like to.

Gerry, we can't believe everything we read. And I know how many blogs that are started and deserted by aspiring wordsmiths. You're a keeper....but you already knew that! And as long as there are players with the Boston Red Sox sacred uniform on, the one we love, I hope I will be, too.

No doubt, Peter.
And I love the way you keep it going year-round, too.
