WEDDING PRESENT
This is the first "on demand" post I've written.

Jared Carullo and Dana Paravati are getting married Saturday on Long Island.
Do I really want to drive to Long Island?
Well....
But they're worth the trip. And they have the good taste to read this blog every day, and have requested a wedding post.
Happy to oblige.
Jared and Dana are former producers at NBC 30.
I didn't work directly with Dana much, but I enjoyed her company, and I know she'll make a beautiful bride.
Jared, I worked with. He's about 7-foot-6, from South Carolina. When he started, my first question to him (so he says) was, "What are you...like 12?" (He has that forever-young look about him.)
Jared developed into one of the finest producers and writers I've ever worked with, and has deservedly moved up the NBC News ladder.
I know they'll have a wonderful life together, though there may be a glitch.
She's a New Yorker, a die-hard Yankee fan.
Matter of fact, here's her picture after the 2004 World Series, paying off a bet to two Red Sox fans.

Jared adopted the Red Sox long ago.
And, what do you know, the Sox and Yanks will be playing a key game DURING their wedding reception.
So kids, you asked me to write a post dedicated to you, and now you can do something for Uncle Gerry and the NBC 30 gang coming to the party.
Make sure there's a TV somewhere in the reception hall.
Please. (And thank you.)

Gerry,
We're so honored to now be a part of this eloquent blog you produce everyday!!!
We're so glad you could be with us on our special day!!
And yes, Dana knows her team lost 10-1 on her wedding day..
Oh, and she'd like you to please finally remove that picture from the Channel 30 newsroom!
Love you!
Dana & Jared
That picture will live forever!
What a wedding...and have a great trip.
Love, GB
Hi Gerry:
So glad that you could be there to celebrate Dana and Jared's wedding.
Hope you had a great time. It was very nice to meet you.
Mary & Joe Paravati
P.S. Gerry I have another picture of Dana as the Poppy Queen. You must ask her what that was.
Thank you for having us.
I'll be sure to ask the Poppy Queen what that's all about.
It was a wedding to remember, and what a great reception.
It did get a little sloppy, though, stuffing those lobster tails in my suit pockets.
(Just kidding)
