TWO SECONDS

Just walked into the beautiful NBC 30 cafeteria for a cup of coffee, and caught the last two seconds of a commercial.
Sometimes two seconds is all you need to be glad you didn’t see more.
Sometimes two seconds is all you need to be totally turned off.
Sometimes two seconds is all you need to make a snap judgment. Which this is.

It was the end of a commercial with an attorney touting a legal web site.
Not just any attorney. An OJ attorney. Robert Shapiro. And it turns out he’s billed as a “co-founder” of the web site.

Ain’t America grand? You help get a celeb off for two murders (even if he was convicted in the court of public opinion), and you turn into a celeb yourself. And, of course, try to make a ton of dough off of it, too.

Two seconds was two too many.
Good coffee, though.

Speaking of commercials, I was watching another station (sorry) and I saw your face and I was like what the heck? Did Gerry make a quick exit from NBC30? Then I noticed the other faces - all anchors from the local TV stations. You all were talking about the digital changeover. Of all the faces to notice first, it was yours! Nice teamwork! I haven't seen it air on NBC30 yet.

We recorded it at Quinnipiac a couple of weeks ago. Always nice to see the friendly competitors.
I haven't seen it on NBC30 yet, either, but I'm told all the stations will air it.
