WATCH TV! LOSE WEIGHT!!!

A new study actually suggests watching TV may be good for you.

Researchers surveyed 800 viewers in 2004, before and after they watched 3 episodes of "ER."
They found the "ER" viewers were 65% more likely to report behavior changes...and they said the show had a positive effect on their health knowledge.

Believe it or not, the study was funded by the Centers for Disease Control, not NBC.

Well, I watched every single episode of "St. Elsewhere," and I never missed an episode of "The Practice" and its spinoff, "Boston Legal."

So if you need a medical or legal consult, you know where to find me. I'm obviously well qualified.
I'll hang out a shingle: G. Brooks, M.D., J.D., T.V.

Hmmm. I wonder if you can lose weight by just watching those exercise shows...

St. Elsewhere, as well as Hill Street Blues, were my favorite shows "back then."
Seems like two years ago instead of two decades (gulp!!).

No, you can't lose weight from watching those exercise shows. It's just a rumor.

I tried it once, while eating pizza and drinking a beer.
